Rev. Daesung Kim, Senior Pastor

“A life that walks with Jesus—loving, obeying, and overcoming.”
I want to be a warm companion who treasures each member, weeping and laughing together as we walk the path of faith.

Ministry Journey

From calling to church planting, following God’s leading step by step

Korea & USA

Theological Foundation and Training

Called to ministry in high school, he studied theology at Sungkyul University and completed his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) at Sungkyul Graduate School of Theology in Korea. After moving to the United States, he studied at Christ For The Nations and pursued the Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, deepening his love for the Word and the church.

Places of Service and Learning

He served as an associate pastor at Semihan Church (TX) and Oriental Mission Church in Los Angeles (CA), and as senior pastor at Logan Oriental Mission Church (UT) and Korean Baptist Church of Greensboro (NC), meeting people of many generations. In ministry he learned that the Word and prayer change people, and that a church community holds on to each soul.

Planting Greensboro With Jesus Church

Together with his wife, Aeyeon Kim, and their three children, he took another step of faith. He is building a small church with a dream of walking with Jesus—a warm family of faith where every generation embraces one another.

Vision and Philosophy

“Beyond the walls of the church, into the world”

The church Pastor Kim dreams of is a community where God’s presence is alive—a family-like church where every generation, from children to seniors, worships together, lives out the gospel, and encourages one another.

He also serves the local community so that church and world, faith and life, stay connected. He prays that this small beginning will flow as a good influence throughout North Carolina.

Developer Ministry

As both a pastor and a developer, Pastor Kim designs and builds practical ministry tools so that church plants and small Korean churches with limited finances, staff, and resources can focus on ministry. Because they are made by a pastor who knows the needs firsthand, they are ready to use in real ministry.

Joseph’s Storehouse

A church finance program for managing offerings, sending annual giving statements, and tracking member history—designed for Korean churches to keep organized finances without a dedicated office staff.

Bible Reading 365

A program that helps members read through the whole Bible in a year, with daily reading plans, progress tracking, and encouraging reminders.

Church Plant Websites

Website support for church plants and small churches with limited budgets and staff—quickly building sites with essentials such as worship information and sermon archives.

Sermon Manager

A sermon tool for managing manuscripts, Scripture passages, dates, and series archives at a glance, so pastors can focus on preparing and recording sermons.

Custom Ministry Tools

He is developing ministry support programs for Bible study materials, various ministry programs, and collaboration across networks.

An Ecosystem That Grows Together

Beyond providing tools, he dreams of an ecosystem where church plants and small churches connect and share resources. Any church in need is welcome to reach out.

A Journey of Faith Together

With Jesus Church is a warm community where anyone can come to experience God’s love, be built up in the Word, and encourage one another. We invite you to join this joyful journey with us.
